Some of you may have noticed, i love to travel. Since I am not able to do as much as i would like, I typically go back to South Florida, where i lived for a couple of decades. Unlike most visitors i am not so interested in the beaches. I love this international city and enjoy visiting all the little neighborhhods and enjoying the food.

This particular trip is to revive my spirits and joints after a miserably cold winter. I am mostly hanging around my son (my daughter is temporarily in Kansas City). He humors me with his charicatures of different local dialect and mannerisms. He also is very zealous for me to know all the different dance styles and diversity of music.

Revisiting a familiar place is full of all kinds of mixed emotions annd memories. What delights me is seeing how all things can be made new. Seeing with new eyes. So what i share here mostly are familiar but I am sharing them as a fresh new look.

There are several spots like to drive through the cool shade of magestic Ficus or Oaks.

I could live my life (well i actually use to) on cafe con leche and papa rellenas (potato balls). I only get to sample the food, since its heart attache food, but so love the coffee while i am here!

Miami has a diversity of beautiful places of worship. This is an orthodox church (antioch).

Farm Stores, a drive through grocery store right next to Sedanos a local grocery store. I just learned it is referred to as La Vaquita because of the little cow emblem. (For my Hispanic friends: just a note that i smile and nod a lot but unless you translate or i look it up i have no idea what you say....
